Retreat schedule is set for upcoming November Take Back Your Health beach retreat

Hello Dear Ones,

I am excited to be a co-leader for this upcoming retreat. Take Back Your Health (owned by Robin Shirley) has been doing these retreats for more than 8 years, so they are a well-oiled machine. I am co-leading this retreat with Bob Soulliere – who does Functional Breathwork and Vim Hoff method breathing and Hilda Labrada Gore who does Ancient Nutrition and is the host and producer of the Wise Traditions podcast in association with the Weston A. Price Foundation.

We are going to be in an incredible house in Kill Devil Hills in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. If you live in or near North Carolina or Virginia, consider joining us! We have a few spots available.

You can see more about the retreat here: https://fallretreat.takebackyourhealthretreats.com/

You can see the Seatopia house here: https://www.twiddy.com/outer-banks/kill-devil-hills/rentals/seatopia/

I will be leading workshops on Zapchen Somatics – Simple Playful Tools for Embodiment and Trauma Informed Astrology – How to Move Toward Well-being in spite of Everything. Plus I am leading a Qi Gong session and offering personal sessions as well.

I know it is last minute, and we hope to see one or two of you at the retreat!

Helping to co-lead a retreat at the beach in November

Hello Dear Ones,

I will be joining a great team in November to help co-lead a retreat. I will offer workshops on easy Embodiment Tools, Qigong, and bodywork. The name of the beach retreat is Take Back Your Health Retreat. Robin Shirley has been offering these for six years now, and she and her team have benefited many people!

The dates are Nov 6th – 10th. The retreat is at a gorgeous house in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. There may be as many as 20 participants, with a very spacious schedule (and a large spacious house).

There is daily yoga, time and space for relaxing, walking on the beach, doing your own practice, etc. And there will be workshops offered by several of us – one on Functional Breathwork, another on Ancient Nutrition, I’m offering two workshops – one using tools from Zapchen Somatics and the in the other we will go through somatic embodiment tools associated with each Astrology sign.

On top of all this, the food is incredible – all organic, gluten free, no GMO’s, with a lot of paleo options!

See if this might interest you! There are a few spots available.

Really Enjoying Working on Trauma Informed Astrology Level 2 Course

Hello Dear Ones,

We are getting started with videos (and recordings) for the Western Astrology & the Polyvagal System Course, Level Two in the T.I. Astrology Essentials Level Certification process. And I am thoroughly enjoying this exploration and deeper dive!

We will spend a good amount of time exploring the Outer Planets (plus Saturn), and in particular looking at these planets and their positions in the Angular Houses and Succedent Houses. This is in addition to the other six or seven vital topics and subjects we are getting into.

More to follow, stay tuned!

Thank you for your interest!

Working on Astrology & the Polyvagal System course, other projects / groups to follow

Hello Dear Ones,

I am working with several people on the second level of the Trauma Informed Astrology course, Western Astrology & the Polyvagal System. In spite of our having a great team for this project, it still takes time!

We have chosen to work on a very ambitious concept – blending Western Astrology, Somatic & Embodiment Tools, with Nervous System Theory and eventually Nervous System Repair! Figuring out how best to get this brand-new, ahead-of-the-curve offering out there does take time and experimentation!

We are very excited to be doing this work, and making progress on it! However, that also means that several other projects / ideas for groups are being postponed.

I want to offer a Mastermind group of pay-what-you-can discussion groups once or twice / month. And on a more personal note, I also want to start a meditation group (in Charlottesville, in-person only) soon as well. But the above class has to take priority – having the team in place and committed to completing this course in the next three to four months is important – we want to get this vital and potent material out there as soon as possible!

Thank you for your patience as we work on this and future courses! Stay tuned for more updates and progress reports 🙂

Mastermind Astrology Group starting soon!

Hello Dear Ones,

In September, I am going to start leading a bi-monthly group to discuss various topics in Trauma Informed Astrology. It will be pay-what-you-can with a suggested donation of $35 – $15 per session. We will start Wednesday September 6th at 2 pm Eastern time. We will be putting a link onto the Trauma Informed Astrology site just for this group.

In the meantime, if you are interested in signing up, please use the contact form here: https://www.traumainformedastrology.com/contact

Let us know that you want to join the Mastermind Group beginning in September. We will hold the second group Sept 20th. We plan to hold them the first & third Wednesdays of each month.

The plan is to hold two of these per month, at least in Sept, Oct, and November. And then resume them again in January.

We will be recording these group discussions, and the recordings will be made available to members by the beginning of 2024.

These meetings will be 90-minutes long, with a 20 – 30 min lecture to start, and then opening up the floor to questions and discussion, centered around that month’s topics. We will do one astrology topic and at least one nervous system repair topic.

Let us know if you are interested or with questions! (use the same link above)

It really is pay-what-you-can, so we want you to attend even if you can only chip in a little $$. We hope to see you in September!

Work on Trauma Informed Astrology resumes – Level Two course

Hello Dear Ones,

After taking the past month to get settled in my new home, I am feeling the muse’s soft whispers to get started again with T.I. Astrology’s Level Two Course – Western Astrology & the Polyvagal System. I am only getting started on the powerpoint slides. Therefore, we may not begin on videos for another few weeks. But I appreciate the idea of moving forward.

This second level course is the next in the T.I. Astrology Certification Program. The first course, Nervous System Foundations is already complete. You can register for this course here: traumainformedastrology.teachable.com/p/ns-foundations-sales

Let us know if you have questions or if you want to sign up for an individual Astrology Chart Interpretation: https://www.traumainformedastrology.com/contact

Level Two will include topics around the Mandala of the Psyche – looking at the anatomy of energy and awareness – the gross (physical) body, the subtle energy body, and the collective bodies and our relationship with each of these, especially in the face of trauma.

We will also work with the Love Cross – looking at relationship dynamics, attachment theory, giving and receiving Love, sharing, care and self-expression in the Astrology Chart.

Then we will look at the hemisphere emphasis in the chart – this is a good way to get a quick glimpse at what someone is working on and working through.

And we will spend the most time unpacking Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto – the influential outer planets and their potent transformative urges. We will look at psychological astrology, developmental topics, and more!

There will be two demos including in this course as well.

This course will go deeper into Nervous System Repair, and the embodiment exercises which can help us to settle and regulate. Plus, we will even cover some Polyvagal Theory. It will be another comprehensive course – going deep into each of the above topics.

We hope you join us!

Unleashing Your Best Life: Practical Steps to Achieving Your Goals

Take little steps each day

Life is full of ups and downs, and it’s not always easy to stay on track toward our goals. We face a lot of challenges that sometimes make things hard to manage effectively. However, despite all these challenges, there are simple steps that one can take to stay focused and get back on track when things seem out of control. This guide shared by Meditation Informs Healing Facilitation can help you get started today.

Understand and prepare for burnout

One critical step to achieving your goals is to recognize and anticipate burnout. Burnout is a state of exhaustion, both physically and emotionally, that leads to reduced performance and focus. To avoid burnout, you must take some time out for yourself and avoid the constant grind of life. It’s essential to set boundaries, both with yourself and those around you, and take care of your mental health. Listen to your body, and if you feel like it’s time to take a break, then take one. By taking care of yourself and anticipating burnout, you can maintain your focus and energy, making it easier to achieve your goals.

Establish SMART objectives

Another critical step towards achieving your goals is setting SMART goals. SMART goals stand for Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Timely. By setting SMART goals, you can take charge of your life and achieve great things. With clear, concise objectives that break down your big goals into smaller, more manageable ones, you can stay on track and monitor your progress. Setting SMART goals forces you to define your objectives clearly, specify how progress will be measured, and establish a clear timeline. This will make your goals seem more tangible and within reach.

Set up a routine for self-care

One important step towards achieving your goals is to create a self-care routine. By creating a self-care routine, you can prioritize your health and well-being, and it will ultimately contribute to your productivity and success. To create a self-care routine, consider taking a relaxing bath, practicing meditation or yoga, or adopting a skincare routine. Anything that you enjoy doing and that makes you feel good about yourself can be incorporated into your self-care routine.

Financial check-up: Increase your savings

Finances play a significant role in achieving your goals. Assessing your finances and making changes to save more can help you reach your goals faster. It might mean cutting back on spending or finding ways to increase your income. You don’t need to be a financial expert to save money successfully. All you need is a bit of planning and discipline, and you’ll be on your way to achieving your financial goals.

Start looking for a new job

Finding a new job can also contribute to achieving your goals. Whether you’re unhappy with your current job or you’re looking to switch to a new career, finding a new job can give you the kickstart you need. Writing a cover letter can increase your chances of landing a job interview because it shows that you’re motivated and serious about the position. There are many options online to help you craft an excellent cover letter – here’s an option if you’re looking to get started right away.

Give back by volunteering

Volunteering and giving back to the community is an excellent way to achieve personal goals. Not only do you gain a sense of purpose, but it also provides opportunities for personal growth and development. Volunteering allows for meeting new people, expanding horizons, and enhancing skills.

Obtain enough sleep

Sleep is essential for achieving your goals. It’s essential to get plenty of rest each night to allow your body time to repair and regrow. Sleep deficiency can lead to a host of health problems and can reduce your overall productivity. Therefore, make sure you get at least seven to eight hours of sleep each night.

Implementing these practical steps in your daily life can help you achieve your goals and live your best life. By recognizing and anticipating burnout, setting SMART goals, creating a self-care routine, finding a new job, and more, you can transform your life into something extraordinary. Regardless of the challenges you face in life, stay focused on your goals, and remember that your dreams are within reach.

Brief Sabbatical, Changes Afoot

Hello Dear Ones,

In a less-than-sexy, less-than-glamorous message… I am taking a couple of weeks to pull back. It is my intention to rest in spaciousness, to do juicy yoga, Zapchen somatics, and Qigong. Plus, I intend to drop into the ease and abundance that is Dharma practice (at least for me).

Trauma Informed Astrology has been inspiring and keeping me quite busy. I would now like to step back a bit and do some writing. Having finished the first course, Nervous System Foundations, once I transcribe those videos, I suspect half a book is already written.

In August, it seems I will pull back more. I have been too eager to get T.I. Astrology started. I have invested good money into getting more followers and interest on IG and FaceBook, and that is tiring – it feels like pushing more and more. I don’t need to be famous. I am a spiritual being having a human experience. I am a natural educator, yes. All I want is to be of benefit to others. I want what is easy, I need more support, I want to have a good team around me. Perhaps in two or three months, I will lean into starting work on the Level Two Course: Western Astrology & the Polyvagal System.

For now however, I am working on decompressing. I have now moved in with my beautiful partner, and our garden is flourishing – literally and figuratively. We are out in the country – still 15 minutes from my office – but the stars at night are bright, rich, and sublime. I am very fortunate.

I am still offering in-person process-oriented-bodywork sessions and long-distance-somatic-experiencing sessions. I have done great work in these areas, benefited many clients, and these sessions are easy (relatively effortless).

You can see more about my bodywork, in-person & distance sessions here: http://www.mkirbymoore.com

Wish me luck with this deeper listening and spacious presence!

May you all have a great rest of your summer,

Upcoming Medical Astrology Course

Hello Friends,

We are excited to be announcing this upcoming T. I. Astrology Medical Astrology Course entitled, Medical Astrology: How Trauma Lands in the Body & Psyche.**

Details about the class (logistics):

Eight Thursdays in a row starting September 14th, from 7 – 9 pm Eastern, we will have 16 hours together. The class is online – on Zoom. We will send a link when you register.

There is an early bird discount happening now through August 21st ($600). After the 21st, the price goes up to ($675).

You can register for the class here: https://www.traumainformedastrology.com/purchase/p/medical-astrology-course

Who is this course for?

This course is for individuals with some astrological knowledge. If you are a professional astrologer, do astrology as a serious hobby, or use it to enhance your practice of other modalities, you are welcome to take this course.

You need to know your way around the astrology chart – knowing the signs, houses, elements, qualities, and aspects; this is the minimum requirement. If you know a bit about medical astrology, that is great too.

What will you get out of taking this course?

After taking this course, you will have a better understanding of the Astrological Signs and the ways in which these individuals hold energy and emotions in their bodies, and how that can show up in terms of symptoms and health concerns. You will go through the Mandala of the Psyche lecture, where you will get a fresh perspective on how trauma lands in the gross physical body, how it affects the subtle energy body, and how it can even influence our relationship with archetypal collective bodies.

In this course, we will go through 8 – 10 Embodiment Exercises and Somatic Tools for the Astrological Signs and various aspects. How can we invite stuck energy and emotion to move? How can we work with difficult aspects, both in the chart and in the body? What are some easy ways to come back to well-being and ease and resources?

There will be plenty of time for questions and answers. And we will even spend one class doing a demo – with time to debrief.

You can see more info about this Medical Astrology course here: https://www.traumainformedastrology.com/events

Let us know if you have questions here: https://www.traumainformedastrology.com/contact

We hope to see you in the course, or hear from you! Thank you for visiting and have a great day,
