Hello Friends,
Here is a good news post. We are wrapping up recordings for the Level Two Trauma Informed Astrology course – Western Astrology & the Polyvagal System (Part One). This has been awesome. Working with Emily and Michele has been very insightful and I appreciate our synergy together. In this course, we are covering the Outer Planets – going deep into Uranus, Pluto, Neptune & Saturn. We are looking at Chart Hemisphere Dynamics (what does it mean if I have a lot of planets around the Ascendant for instance), plus looking at having the Outer Planets in the Angular Houses. Plus we are discussing so much more – Astrology as a Love Story, Frequency-Based Astrology, the Mandala of the Psyche and more. This course is going to be approximately 17 hours of material, so now I am getting started with the editing process. Hopefully we can offer it by January 1st!
I was recently interviewed by Lisa Ellison on her Writing Your Resilience podcast and that came out a couple weeks ago. You can see our interview here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BGpPfblwEnI&list=PLmz2skzB_fzQ5XgY3lKAviu1uQFjH6dxo&index=5
In the interview, we discuss trauma & creativity, we unpack “What is Somatic Experiencing?”, and I introduce a couple of easy Somatic Tools that most of us can do on ourselves to help come back into alignment.
Then, I was also recently quoted in an article for the Huffington Post – it is a piece about Complex PTSD, so it is not light reading. However, for people who suffer with these debilitating symptoms, it is very informative. You can see the article here: https://www.huffpost.com/entry/emotional-flashback-dread-doom-therapy_n_66cb7ae8e4b0f0ded8061ba6
Things are going well for me, all things considered. I do have to practice a LOT of self-care to stay present, to be in my body on a regular basis, and to be present to my clients – especially if I am doing hands-on Somatic Process bodywork.
Lots of good things happening with Trauma Informed Astrology. It just takes time to get new courses complete and made available. Thank you for your patience!
I hope you are finding the tools to be kind in spite of everything,
Kirby
