Hello Dear Ones,
I had some big transitions the past few months, so I have taken some Me-Time to process and allow things to settle. Hence less posts on here. And I don’t think I am going to be teaching a Trauma-Informed Astrology class this fall. So far, I have 3 people who are “Maybe’s.” And I haven’t done much prep work… so I think it is best to let this one go. Do let me know if you are interested in classes down the road, see below for more on why.
And now I feel that I am moving forward with more ease and grace. I am excited that my bodywork (process-oriented, trauma-resolution, resilience-oriented) practice is thriving. I have people contacting me from over an hour away saying they heard great things about the healing facilitation I offer. Yay! Finally – 17 years of training is paying off! And it is true – the work I offer is very potent. The best of bodywork and somatic processing.
Speaking of the healing facilitation work… I have completed more training with Raja Selvam – this time looking deeper at Pre- and Perinatal Trauma (and working with Existential Trauma in general). So I have even more skills and competencies to offer, and not to mention assessment tools.
This training has been a very interesting journey as well. The more I learn about the physiology of emotions, and how early trauma lands in the body, the more I can correlate with astrology! So I am getting insights in Psychological Astrology, Medical Astrology and more – all while studying how early trauma affects the nervous system!
To clarify – my bodywork practice is thriving. My limit is about 12 – 15 clients / week (and if I am tracking trauma work – this is actually A LOT). And most weeks I get at least 12 clients in. So I practice self-care and spend time in nature, sometimes with friends. But I am really focusing on filling my container so I can stay present and healthy for my clients. I do the rare long-distance Somatic Experiencing session in there too. I love how this work can be done in person or over distance!
And of course, I am still seeing about 3 to 4 astrology clients / month. So that is staying fresh and current. I love unlocking the puzzle that is a new astrology chart. And then if I can combine that with the process work I offer, even better! Then we get quick insights into what clients are working through, what the past year or two has been like, and what the upcoming few months to year will indicate. Wow!
Soon – maybe later in the fall or spring of 2022, I would love to be doing more teaching. I have learned SO much about the nervous system in the past four years. And that on top of the Pre- and Perinatal Psychology training, Craniosacral Therapy and Polyvagal work, this allows me to offer unique and potent tools and techniques. Whether I am teaching bodywork or astrology, I think big things are coming. So I am curious about what this look like, and excited that I love what I do at the moment. Whatever happens, I will try to enjoy it 🙂
Thank you for reading and wishing you a pleasant and graceful end of the Summer,
Kirby Moore
