Two things in this post: 1) I am planning a pilgrimage to India and 2) I am practicing kindness to self in that there will soon be links at the bottom of posts for slight commercial purposes.
Great news! My period of stasis and stagnation are coming to completion, which in my book is still not fast enough. And I am starting to plan a six month (at least) stay in India. Overall I am filled with enthusiasm and inner joy thinking about what is awaiting me in the land of the Buddha’s teaching, however, my emotions are tempered by feelings of sadness at separating from longtime friends and family. Plus there is some fear and apprehension arising at the thought of doing an adventure entirely “on my own.” But I am happy to be moving forward with my life.
I have just recently given birth to this idea, of a journey to South Asia, so my plans are not yet set. However, I am anticipating a stop in Bodhgaya (before the summer heat), Kushinagar, Varanasi and then later probably visiting Dharamsala and Dehra Dun (home to the Drikung Kagyu in exile). My plans will probably remain relatively fluid as I open to abundance and novel experiences.
On the second note, in the past, I was content to be lower on the financial scale (poor) and content with a simple lifestyle. But recently, as I discharged and processed some old stuff, I have been feeling like it is time to take better care of my self. Therefore, I will be posting a link to an amazon store with book recommendations etc available for purchase. It will barely be conspicuous. Proceeds will go toward my blossoming trip to India.
I just started a Chip In page to collect donations for this pilgrimage. The web address is: http://kirbymoore.chipin.com/pilgrimage-to-india
To see books that I recommend, and also to support my blogging and Dharma activities, click the link at the right to view my aStore or go to: http://astore.amazon.com/kirmoosblo-20
Thank you very much and many blessings on your path,
